Gunmen Kill Three Miners in Plateau State Attack

On Tuesday at 11:50 AM, gunmen attacked a mining site in Nyango Gyel District, Jos South Local Government Area, Plateau State, resulting in the deaths of three miners and injuries to two others. According to community sources, the assailants invaded the site and opened fire on the workers, leading to a chaotic scene where miners attempted to escape the gunfire.

Chuwang Rogos, a local resident, reported that the death toll could be higher as some miners did not escape the initial shooting. The attack is part of a series of violent incidents that have disrupted economic activities and displaced residents in the area.

Community leaders have called on security agencies and government authorities to dismantle criminal hideouts and take decisive action against the perpetrators to restore peace and security.
