Ten Arrested in Killing of Benue MACBAN Chairman

The Benue State Police Command has arrested ten individuals linked to the killing of Alhaji Ardo Moham, the chairman of the Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria in Benue State. The arrests were made following investigations into the violent incident that occurred after a peace meeting involving community leaders and security officials aimed at easing tensions in the area.

The police spokesperson, DSP Udem Edet, confirmed that the operation leading to the arrests was conducted on June 27, 2026, in Otukpo. The suspects, aged between 18 and 46, were identified as Titu Thyodenda, Utib Sam, Owoicho Ameh, Sundai Useni, Sundai Ogbanj, Daniel Raphael, Adokol John, Samuel Ogazi, Agbo Daniel, and Onazi Jame.

The incident, which involved armed men ambushing Moham as he returned from the meeting, has raised serious security concerns among residents. Benue State Commissioner of Police, Cletu Nwadiogbu, praised the officers for their swift response and assured the public of ongoing investigations to bring all involved to justice.
