Reps Demand IGP Produce 'Fake' PFIPC DG in 48 Hours

On Monday, the House of Representatives, through the Ad hoc Committee led by Hon. Yusuf Gagdi, issued a 48-hour ultimatum to Inspector-General of Police Olatunji Disu to present Prince Adeniyi Mathew, who claims to be the Director-General of the Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council/Presidential Economic Advisory Council (PFIPC/PEAC).

This directive is set for Wednesday at noon, as part of an investigation into the inclusion of the alleged phantom council in the 2026 Appropriation Act. The committee is also seeking the approval of the Accountant-General of the Federation, Dr.

Shamsudeen Ogunjimi, to release 12 personnel named in a security report. Gagdi emphasized the importance of Mathew's appearance to clarify issues before the committee submits its findings.

The committee has obtained 29 fake documents allegedly used by Mathew, who is accused of hijacking a letter of authentication addressed to the Presidency.
