Reps Demand IGP Produce 'Fake' PFIPC DG in 48 Hours

On Monday, the House of Representatives, led by Hon. Yusuf Gagdi, issued a 48-hour ultimatum to Inspector-General of Police Olatunji Disu to present Prince Adeniyi Mathew, who claims to be the Director-General of the Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council/Presidential Economic Advisory Council (PFIPC/PEAC), before the House on Wednesday by noon.

This directive was part of an investigation into the inclusion of the PFIPC in the 2026 Appropriation Act. Gagdi emphasized the importance of Mathew's appearance to clarify issues before the committee submits its findings.

The committee is also seeking the release of 12 personnel mentioned in a security report. Gagdi revealed that the committee possesses 29 forged documents allegedly used by Mathew, who reportedly hijacked a letter of authentication addressed to the Presidency.

The committee aims to protect the integrity of individuals and institutions involved in the investigation while ensuring that ongoing security investigations are not interfered with.
