Reps Committee Uncovers Fraud in Presidential Council

The House of Representatives Ad hoc Committee investigating the purported Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council (PFIPC) has found preliminary evidence of financial and criminal activities linked to its detained Director-General, Prince Adeniyi Adeyemi. The committee, chaired by Honourable Yusuf Gagdi, reported that the PFIPC was never lawfully established, lacking any legal instruments such as an Act of the National Assembly or a Presidential Executive Order.

The committee discovered substantial evidence of fabrication, forgery, and impersonation related to the council's existence. It urged government agencies to halt any financial dealings with the PFIPC and called for the preservation of all relevant financial records.

The investigation revealed 12 additional fake agencies and approximately 58 bank accounts linked to Adeyemi, with evidence suggesting a network of personal and corporate accounts. The committee deemed the allegations serious enough to warrant criminal investigations and potential legal action against those involved.
