Reps Declare Adeniyi Adeyemi's Appointment Letter Fake

The House of Representatives Ad Hoc Committee, led by Chairman Yusuf Gagdi, has declared the appointment letter presented by Adeniyi Adeyemi, the self-acclaimed Director-General of the Presidential Foreign Investment Promotion Council, as fake. This declaration was made during an investigative hearing in Abuja on Wednesday.

Didi Esther Walson-Jack, the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, confirmed that the documents provided by Adeyemi were not authentic. Gagdi stated, “It was established that the so-called letter of appointment was fake, confirmed by different agencies, and the Act presented to the Head of Service was equally fake, forged by the DG.” Walson-Jack appeared before the committee for the second time to make her final submissions.

Adeyemi was absent from the hearing, prompting the committee to direct the Inspector-General of Police to produce him within 48 hours, as his appearance was deemed necessary to explain how the council obtained official recognition and processed government correspondence.
