PDP Candidate Shehu Bawa Advocates for Peaceful Elections

Shehu Usman Bawa, known as Shehu Abg, the governorship candidate for the People's Democratic Party (PDP) in Kaduna State, urged for peaceful elections ahead of the 2027 governorship polls. During a courtesy visit to the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) command headquarters in Kaduna, he commended the NSCDC for its unwavering commitment to protecting lives and property despite the prevailing security challenges in the state.

Bawa emphasized that the success of the democratic process relies heavily on the ability of security agencies to provide a peaceful environment for citizens to exercise their constitutional rights. He called on politicians to embrace campaigns based on policy ideas rather than confrontational tactics, highlighting the need for unity and peace in the political landscape.

NSCDC Commandant Panam Musa expressed gratitude for Bawa's visit and reaffirmed the corps' readiness to work closely with security agencies to ensure adequate security during the elections.
