Kaduna Government Condemns Kauru Village Attack

The Kaduna State Government condemned the recent attack on Kauru Village, located on the border between Kaduna State and Ganawuri in the Riyom Local Government Area of Plateau State. In a statement signed by the Commissioner for Information, Ahmed Maiyaki, the government described the incident as tragic and unacceptable.

Governor Uba Sani expressed heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims and prayed for the peaceful repose of the souls lost in the attack. He also wished a speedy recovery to those injured.

The governor directed the Kaduna State Emergency Management Agency (KADSEMA) to provide immediate relief materials and humanitarian assistance to the affected families. The statement reaffirmed the government's commitment to collaborating with the Plateau State Government, security agencies, traditional institutions, and other stakeholders to enhance security, restore peace, and protect lives and property along the Kaduna-Plateau border.

Residents were urged to remain calm, vigilant, and law-abiding, supporting security agencies with credible information and rejecting violence.
