Kano PDP Endorses Jonathan for 2027 Presidential Bid

The Kano State chapter of the People's Democratic Party (PDP), led by chairman Yusuf Ado Kibiya, has officially endorsed former President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan as the party's presidential candidate for the upcoming 2027 elections. Kibiya made this announcement during a press conference, stating that the decision was affirmed by the party's National Working Committee (NWC).

He emphasized the importance of the party's alignment with its broader objectives and commitment to engaging in constructive dialogue to advance PDP's mission across Kano and Nigeria. Kibiya condemned recent disruptions at the PDP's national mini-convention in Abuja, which he described as actions undermining democratic principles and civil liberties.

He reiterated the party's dedication to delivering good governance and improving the lives of residents in Kano. The PDP plans to conclude its nomination process for various electoral offices by the end of June 2027.
