Kano State Reports 30 Fire Incidents, Five Lives Lost

In June, Kano State recorded 30 fire incidents, leading to the loss of five lives and property damage estimated at 120.4 million Naira, according to the Kano State Fire Service's operational report released on Monday by the public relations officer, Saminu Abdullahi. The fire service conducted seven rescue operations, including three successful rescues from various emergency situations.

Director Sani Ana urged residents to exercise caution when handling fire to prevent outbreaks and emphasized the importance of ensuring that fire sources are completely extinguished. He also appealed to parents and guardians to closely monitor children to prevent them from playing around puddles, ponds, and rivers, which could reduce drowning incidents among young people.

The Kano State Fire Service reaffirmed its commitment to protecting lives and property through prompt emergency response and public safety awareness.
