KAROTA Urges Solutions to Zaria Road Traffic Congestion

The Kano Road Traffic Agency (KAROTA), led by Managing Director Faisal Mahmud Kabir and represented by Deputy Managing Director Alhaji Auwal Lawan Shu Aibu Aranposu, has demanded immediate solutions to the severe traffic congestion on Zaria Road caused by ongoing construction work. This call was made during a meeting with Mr.

Venanciu Okwuas, a representative of the construction company. The agency highlighted the long hours motorists spend in traffic due to the gridlock, particularly around Tamburawa and Kwanar Fari on the outskirts of Kano metropolis.

KAROTA urged the construction firm to take urgent steps to create alternative routes to ease the congestion and allow vehicles to move freely. The agency reaffirmed its commitment to addressing traffic challenges in Kano and mentioned that certain measures, such as reopening U-turn points, have already been implemented to improve traffic flow.

The construction work is expected to connect Kano metropolis with several communities, including Tamburawa and Kwanar Dawaki.
