Kebbi University Dismisses ICT Director for Misconduct

The Federal University Birnin Kebbi's governing council has dismissed Isah Yusuf Tsafe, the director of Information and Communication Technology (ICT), due to gross misconduct involving the failure to account for university assets. This decision was announced in a statement issued by Jamilu Magaji, the university's head of public relations.

The council's actions followed disciplinary proceedings that established allegations of misconduct against Tsafe. Furthermore, Abdullahi Moham Adamu, an ICT staff member, was demoted and barred from promotion for the next five years for engaging in financial transactions related to admission seekers, despite not being a member of the university's admission process.

The council emphasized that these decisions reflect its commitment to uphold merit, discipline, and professional administration within the university, ensuring accountability and responsible conduct in its operations.
