Governor Kefas Urges Christians to Trust God Amid Challenges

On a significant occasion, Dr. Agbu Kefas, the Governor of Taraba State, delivered a sermon titled "Almighty God, Our Rock in Times of Trouble" at the 2026 annual convention marking the 10th anniversary of the Global Baptist Mission Church, held in Kusuku, Sardauna Local Government Area.

In his address, he encouraged Christians worldwide to place their trust in God, particularly during tumultuous times characterized by war, terrorism, economic hardship, and social confusion. He referenced Psalm 62:5-8, emphasizing that God serves as a refuge in difficult situations.

Governor Kefas urged the congregation to maintain their faith and seek divine guidance and support. He also acknowledged the contributions of James Fongong, the president of the Global Baptist Mission, who expressed gratitude for the governor's developmental strides in the Mambilla Plateau, including the establishment of the Taraba State University of Tropical Agriculture and the implementation of free education policies.

However, Fongong highlighted ongoing challenges, such as the need for improved healthcare services and expedited road construction in the region.
