Festus Keyamo Receives ‘Minister of the Decade’ Award

Festus Keyamo, the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, was awarded the ‘Minister of the Decade’ at the Times Heroes Award ceremony themed “Honouring the Past and Shaping the Future.” The event celebrated Nigerians whose leadership has significantly impacted the country’s development and was attended by notable figures, including George Akume, Secretary to the Government of the Federation, representing President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and several governors. Keyamo's award reflects ongoing reforms in Nigeria's aviation sector, which he leads.

He attended the ceremony with Mahmud Adam Kambari, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, and executives from various aviation agencies. The award was presented by the Obi of Onitsha, His Majesty Igwe Nnaemeka Alfred Achebe.

Keyamo dedicated the award to the leadership and staff of the aviation agencies, emphasizing that the sector's progress is a collective achievement, highlighting the crucial roles played by aviation professionals in implementing the government's reform agenda.
