Ogun Woman Kidnapped, Family Faces N100m Ransom Demand

Olayinka Oremade was reportedly abducted by gunmen in the Alapako/Oyebola area of Ogun State on Friday, August 14, while returning from a farm with one of her staff members. Four armed men ambushed their vehicle, leading to a failed escape attempt.

Olayinka's son, Oremade Ilerioluwa, reported that two staff members managed to escape, while Olayinka and another staff member were captured. The family reported the incident to the Nigeria Police Force the following day, but the police's search efforts did not yield results.

The kidnappers initially demanded a ransom of N200m, which was later negotiated down to N100m. During a call, Olayinka urged her son to seek financial assistance for her release.

Local hunters have also been searching for the victims, but no progress has been made. The family expressed devastation over the situation, hoping for Olayinka's safe return.
