Ondo Farmers Abducted, N15 Million Ransom Demanded

Three farmers, including two women and a man, were abducted by suspected kidnappers at Agbaje community along the Ala-Elefosan axis of Idanre local government area in Ondo state. The kidnappers are demanding a ransom of N15 million for their release, which amounts to N5 million for each victim.

The victims include Funke Falolu, who was reportedly kidnapped while working at their farm settlement. A family source revealed that the incident occurred when the victims went to the farm but did not return home.

The kidnappers contacted the families, leading to confusion and distress as they struggle to raise the demanded ransom. The source expressed devastation over the abduction, highlighting the fear and insecurity faced by farmers in remote communities, which could further discourage agricultural activities in the region.
