Kinsmen Demand Justice for Emeka Okafor's Death

Emeka Okafor, a 42-year-old man, died after allegedly being thrown from the fourth floor of a building located along Afubera Street Odoakpu in Onitsha, Anambra State, in the early hours of Friday. His kinsmen claim he was falsely accused of stealing boxer shorts belonging to the property owner.

A delegation from Ogboji community, led by Ndubuisi Nwaedozi, visited the Central Police Station in Onitsha to demand justice for Okafor, who they believe was beaten and thrown to his death. The police, represented by ACP Olusegun Kayod, assured the delegation that the matter would be investigated thoroughly and not swept under the carpet.

The incident reportedly occurred around 3 AM, with allegations that Okafor was locked in a room and beaten before being thrown from the building. The police have confirmed that a major suspect has been arrested, and an autopsy will be conducted to ascertain the cause of death.
