Kogi West APC Leaders Reject Candidate Substitution

Leaders of the Kogi West chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) have expressed their opposition to any substitution of the party's senatorial candidate, Hon. Samuel Bamidel Aro.

During a press briefing held in Lokoja, the leaders, represented by Alfa Imam, called for strict adherence to due process and justice in handling the party's senatorial primary election. They warned against any attempts to substitute the duly nominated candidate, emphasizing that their position is not driven by personal grievances but is aimed at protecting the integrity of the democratic process.

Hon. Samuel Bamidel Aro was declared the winner of the primary election after securing the highest number of valid votes, a result that was affirmed by the party's election committee.

The appeal committee upheld the outcome, which was validated by relevant agencies, including the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), the Nigeria Police Department, and the State Security Service (DSS).
