KolaDaisi University Appoints Female Vice-Chancellor-Designate

KolaDaisi University has announced the appointment of Professor Olajumoke Morenikeji as Vice-Chancellor-designate. This decision follows a rigorous and transparent selection process that received approval from the Board of Trustees, in line with the provisions of the university's law established in 2016.

The announcement was made by Haruna Olawal Adetu, the Registrar of the university, on Tuesday. Professor Morenikeji is expected to officially assume her role on August 3, 2026.

She is a distinguished scholar in parasitology, holding B.Sc., M.Sc., and Ph.D. degrees from the University of Ibadan. She became a professor of parasitology in 2016 and has built an extensive research portfolio that includes work on tropical diseases such as malaria and schistosomiasis, with over 120 scholarly publications to her credit.

Additionally, she has held several leadership roles within academia, including Head of Department, Dean, and Deputy Vice-Chancellor at KolaDaisi University.
