Kwara Governor Assures Security for NYSC Corps Members

On the occasion of the orientation ceremony for the 2026 Batch B Stream National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) members held at Kwara State Polytechnic in Ilorin, Kwara State Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq assured the corps members of their security throughout the service year. He urged the corps members to embrace patriotism and engage in selfless service to foster community development.

The governor emphasized that the service year offers a unique opportunity for meaningful contributions to national development. He congratulated the corps members on completing their academic pursuits and encouraged them to take advantage of the orientation program, particularly in skill acquisition and entrepreneurship development.

Abdulrazaq highlighted the importance of the corps members' impact on their host communities, referencing past projects such as classroom renovations and medical outreach programs. The NYSC State Coordinator, Olaoluwa Joshua Onifad, disclosed that 1,496 corps members, comprising 703 males and 793 females, were deployed to Kwara State for the service year.
