Dantsoho Backs Seriki for Kwara Gubernatorial Race

Princ Haliru Dantsoho announced his withdrawal from the 2027 Kwara gubernatorial race, endorsing Hon Abdulfatai Yahaya Seriki Gambari. This decision, made during a gathering in Ilorin, was described as a strategic sacrifice aimed at fostering unity within the All Progressives Congress (APC) and addressing the political landscape of Kwara State.

Dantsoho, known as Dan Iya Kaiama, emphasized the importance of collective progress and the need for Kwara North to produce the next governor after nearly three decades without representation. He praised Seriki for his loyalty to the party and strong grassroots appeal, asserting that his commitment to developing Kwara Central, the largest voting bloc, would be crucial in the upcoming elections.

Dantsoho's endorsement reflects a broader call for unity and healing within the party, aligning with the vision of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Abdulrazaq. He also urged the government to take decisive action regarding recent security challenges in the state.
