Kwara PDP criticizes gov Abdulrazaq’s security meeting allegedly held under mango tree

The Kwara State Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) criticized Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq for allegedly holding a security meeting under a mango tree with stakeholders from Kwara South. The PDP spokesman, Olusola Adewara, described the meeting as a "wicked mockery" of the traumatized people in the area affected by escalating insecurity.

The criticism comes after five people, including a police officer, were killed by armed bandits in the Babanla community. The PDP accused the governor of failing to address the security situation in the state, particularly in the Ifelodun Local Government Area.

They claimed that the meeting was more of a photo session and lacked the necessary stakeholders and key representatives. The PDP also highlighted the governor's failure to visit the affected community, opting instead for a symbolic gathering in another local government area.
