PDP Criticizes Kwara Governor Over Kidnapping Inaction

The Kwara State chapter of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) expressed discontent over the 159 days since 176 individuals were kidnapped in Woro, urging Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq to take action for their rescue. The PDP contrasted this situation with the recent success of Oyo State, where Governor Seyi Makinde facilitated the rescue of 49 abducted schoolchildren and a teacher after 56 days in captivity.

The PDP's statement, signed by Olusegun Olusola Adewara, highlighted the perceived indifference of the Kwara State government towards the plight of kidnapping victims, noting that nearly 200 residents had been affected by bandit attacks. The party criticized Abdulrazaq for failing to prioritize the rescue efforts and for treating public criticism as adversarial.

In contrast, the Oyo State government was commended for its proactive response to public concerns and collaboration with federal security agencies. The Nigeria Governor Forum (NGF) also acknowledged the successful rescue in Oyo State, emphasizing the need for effective leadership in addressing security challenges.
