Kwara Police Enforce Traffic Laws to Enhance Road Safety

Kwara State Police Commissioner Ojo Adekimi has directed the immediate and strict enforcement of all traffic laws and regulations in the state, following a directive from the Inspector-General of Police. This initiative responds to increasing concerns over traffic rule violations, which have led to road crashes, congestion, and endangerment of lives.

The enforcement aims to restore order and promote compliance with traffic regulations. SP Adetoun Ejire Adeyemi, the Command's spokesperson, stated that the initiative is not meant to inconvenience law-abiding citizens but to encourage responsibility and respect for the law.

All officers involved are instructed to perform their duties professionally and respectfully. Adekimi warned that any officer violating traffic regulations during the enforcement will face disciplinary action.

The Command urges all road users, including motorists and commercial drivers, to adhere to traffic laws, obey road signs, and ensure their vehicle documents are valid as the enforcement exercise begins statewide.
