Kwara APC Members Plan Change in 2027 Elections

On Wednesday, aggrieved members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kwara, organized under The Otoge Progressives (TOP), declared their commitment to remain within the party to facilitate a change in government during the 2027 general elections. This announcement was made at a stakeholders’ rally in Ilorin, where prominent figures, including former APC governorship and National Assembly aspirants, gathered.

Chief James Ayeni, a member of the APC elders’ caucus, emphasized the necessity for a government that reflects collective contributions rather than individual control. Senator Salihu Mustapha, representing Kwara Central, urged supporters to vote wisely in the upcoming elections to reset the political landscape.

Salman Jawondo (SAN), a former Commissioner of Justice, expressed support for Senator Mustapha's candidacy under the PDP and President Bola Tinubu’s re-election. Senator Yahaya Oloriegbe called for representatives who are approachable and committed to community welfare, encouraging voters to participate actively in the electoral process.
