Lagos Assembly Lawmaker Defects from Labour Party to Join ADC

Hon. Foluke Stella Osafile, a member of the Lagos State House of Assembly, has defected from the Labour Party to the ADC.

Osafile, who currently serves as the Chairman of the House Committee on Wealth Creation, was elected on the Labour Party platform in 2019, defeating the APC candidate, Folorunso Olaitan Segun. Following a legal battle, Osafile successfully reclaimed her seat, leading to her decision to switch parties.

The formal announcement of her defection is expected during a plenary session.
