Lagos to Host African Pro-Wrestling Championship 2026

The African Pro-Wrestling Championship is set to take place in Lagos, Nigeria, from May 2 to May 3, 2026, at the National Stadium, Surulere. The event will feature competitors from several countries, including Cameroon, Togo, Benin Republic, Zimbabwe, Zambia, and Ghana.

Emmanuel Ndo, the first vice president of the Cameroon Pro Wrestling Federation, announced that Cameroon’s wrestlers are currently training hard to defend their status as the leading wrestling nation in Africa. Three top Cameroonian wrestlers—Kassa Justin (aka Madman), Kana Hyppolit (aka Albatros), and Simen Gui (aka Black Tiger)—have been selected to represent the country.

Ndo emphasized that Cameroon intends to make a significant impact at the championship. He also extended an invitation to Nigerian fans to attend the event on Sunday, May 3, 2026, to experience professional wrestling live.
