Lagos Police Arrest Four Armed Robbers in Ajah Area

The Lagos State Police Command arrested four suspected members of a criminal gang linked to recent killings, armed robbery, and cult-related activities in the Ajah axis. The suspects, identified as Kareem Abiodun (26), Tansiru Emmanuel (29), Lateef Usman (28), and Alashe Azeez (32), were apprehended during follow-up operations related to a robbery case.

A statement from the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Abimbola AdebisI, revealed that the police recovered three locally made pistols, one live ammunition, two battle axes, and a Point-of-Sale (PoS) machine from the suspects. Preliminary investigations indicated their involvement in robbery activities around Ajah, Sangotedo, and Ibeju-Lekki.

The suspects reportedly confessed to their roles in armed robbery, murder, and cult activities. They remain in police custody to assist with ongoing investigations, and the police are working to apprehend additional gang members and recover more evidence.

The Commissioner of Police, CP Tijani Fatai, praised the operatives for their effective follow-up efforts leading to the arrests.
