Lagos Unveils Logo and Mascot for National Intermediate Games

The Lagos State Local Organizing Committee (LOC) unveiled the official logo and mascot for the maiden National Intermediate Games, set to take place from October 1 to 15. The unveiling event was led by LOC Chairman Sam Egube, alongside co-chairmen Lekan Fatodu and Mobolaji Ogunlend, and the Director General of the National Sports Commission, Bukola Olopade.

The logo incorporates elements representing the diverse vibrancy of Lagos, featuring an Eyo cap, Opambata, and three ascending stars. The mascot, named Lasgidi, was also revealed.

Egube described the unveiling as a perfect launchpad for the games, emphasizing the importance of Lagos as the host city. Fatodu praised Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu for his support, stating that the National Intermediate Games would be a spectacular event in Nigeria's sports history.

Ogunlend noted that the games would inspire young athletes and promote excellence, further solidifying Lagos's status as a leading hub for sports development in Nigeria.
