Echem Declares Candidacy for Orumba House Seat

Dr. Chibuike Echem officially declared his intention to run for the House of Representatives seat for Orumba North and South Federal Constituency under the Labour Party (LP). This announcement was made ahead of a grand reception in his community, Ogbunka, scheduled for Sunday, August 23.

Echem, who holds the traditional title of Okenwa Ogbunka, emphasized the need for quality representation in his constituency, lamenting the lack of adequate representation despite years of support for other candidates. He enjoys strong support among the youth and elderly, citing his past contributions to empowerment, scholarships, and sports.

Echem's manifesto includes quarterly town hall meetings to engage with constituents on legislative matters. He advocates for voting based on individual merit rather than party affiliation and aims to prioritize youth, women, education, healthcare, and agriculture if elected.

His first legislative motion will be determined after consulting with the community.
