MAAUN Honors Late Journalist Saleh Ashaka with Lab Naming

The Maryam Abacha American University of Nigeria (MAAUN) has named its newly constructed three-storey multipurpose laboratory at the College of Medicine in honor of the late veteran journalist Saleh Shehu Ashaka. This decision, announced by Prof. Adamu Abubakar Gwarzo, President of MAAUN Group of Universities, serves as a tribute to Ashaka's legacy in journalism, philanthropy, and service to humanity.

The laboratory, which features 12 dedicated labs, is designed to enhance practical medical education and provide students with a modern learning environment. Gwarzo emphasized that the facility would enable students to acquire practical skills and conduct experiments, reflecting MAAUN's commitment to world-class educational standards.

He noted Ashaka's significant impact on society and his dedication to journalism, which earned him respect nationally and internationally. Ashaka passed away on May 3, 2023, and his contributions to the media industry are recognized as a major loss for Nigeria.
