Man Stabbed to Death in Cross River During Argument
On Sunday, a violent altercation in Ikom Town, Cross River, resulted in the death of Micheal Ndifon, aged 42. Ndifon was allegedly stabbed in the right rib with a dagger by Charl Ekuma during an argument.
Following the incident, Ndifon was rushed to a family hospital in Ikom and subsequently referred to the Ebonyi State Teaching Hospital in Abakaliki for further treatment. Unfortunately, he succumbed to his injuries.
The Ikom Police Division confirmed that the suspect, Charl Ekuma, has been arrested, and the weapon used in the stabbing has been recovered as evidence. The deceased's body has been deposited at the hospital's mortuary for an autopsy.
The case has been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) for further investigation.
