Masquerade Attack in Oyo Claims Life of 24-Year-Old

In Oyo State, a 24-year-old man named Sefiu Kehind was fatally attacked during a masquerade parade in the Labiran area of Ibadan. The Oyo State Police Command reported that the attack occurred around 4:00 PM when Kehind was allegedly assaulted by a masquerade identified as Asolek, who used an axe to inflict severe injuries.

Following the incident, Kehind was rushed to the hospital but was pronounced dead upon arrival. The police, led by the Mapo Division, quickly mobilized to the scene and took custody of the deceased's body for burial in accordance with Islamic rites.

The police have arrested Asolek and four alleged accomplices in connection with the crime, while efforts continue to apprehend other suspects who remain at large. The Oyo State Police Command, under the direction of CP Abimbola Ayodeji Olugbenga, has assured the public of their commitment to tackling crime and protecting lives and property in the state.
