Lagos-Abuja, Asaba, Port Harcourt Lead Domestic Routes

Remi Jibodu, the Chief Operating Officer of Bi-Courtney Aviation Services Limited, stated that Murtala Muhammed Airport Terminal 2 (MMA2) in Lagos has identified the busiest domestic routes as Lagos-Abuja, Asaba, and Port Harcourt. The terminal, which commenced operations in 2007 under a 19-year concession agreement, records an average of 60-65 flight departures daily.

Abuja leads as the busiest route due to its status as the nation's capital and a major business hub. The terminal also handles significant cargo volumes, particularly on the Abuja-Port Harcourt route, reflecting strong business activity.

Daily passenger traffic can reach at least 15,000 during peak seasons, while it typically drops during low seasons. The terminal's infrastructure is designed to manage high passenger volumes efficiently, featuring a multi-storey car park, spacious layout, and advanced automated systems for passenger processing and security.
