Kaduna State to Support Family of Lynched Woman

Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani pledged that the state government will take responsibility for the welfare of the family of Umulkhairi Aliyu, who was killed by a mob on June 14. During a condolence visit to the bereaved family in Maraban Jo, Sani assured that the government would support her husband and ensure that their four children receive quality education.

He condemned the mob action as barbaric and stated that justice would be served. Following the incident, 41 individuals have been charged with culpable homicide, and a total of 82 suspects are under investigation.

The governor emphasized that no one involved in the killing would escape justice, regardless of their status. He commended the swift response of security agencies and directed that a thorough investigation be conducted, holding accountable any officers found negligent in their duties.

The incident has sparked widespread condemnation from religious leaders and human rights advocates.
