Christian Leaders Condemn Lynching of Kaduna Woman

On a recent visit, Northern Christian leaders, including Rev. Joseph John Hayab, chairman of the Northern Christian Association, expressed condolences to the family of Umulkhairi Usman Aliyu, a Muslim woman lynched by an angry mob in Maraban Jo, Igabi Local Government Area, Kaduna State.

The delegation, which also included Rev. Caleb Ma Aji and Rev.

Ishaya Adamu Jangado, aimed to identify with the bereaved family and condemn the barbaric act that violated the sanctity of human life. Hayab emphasized the importance of justice and warned against the growing culture of mob justice, which poses a grave danger to national peace and security.

He called on the Kaduna State government and security agencies to ensure that those responsible for the killing are brought to justice. Malam Aliyu Moham, the husband of the deceased, expressed gratitude for the support from the Christian leaders during this difficult time, highlighting the need for unity and peace among religious communities.
