Ansar Ud Deen Society Urges Swift Action on Abductions

The Ansar Ud Deen Society of Nigeria has called on both the Oyo State government and the federal government to fast-track the release of teachers and students recently abducted in Oriire Local Government Area, Oyo State. This appeal was made in a statement available to journalists on Sunday, following the incident that occurred on May 15, 2026.

The society expressed concern over the rising wave of kidnappings and banditry, emphasizing the need for proactive measures to ensure the safe return of the victims. Bashiru Aminu, the council chairman, and Mutiu Alad, the secretary, highlighted the urgency of deploying necessary resources to facilitate the rescue efforts.

The Ansar Ud Deen Society of Nigeria strongly urged the authorities to act swiftly to bring the abducted individuals back home unharmed to their families.
