Bala Mohammed Urges Peaceful Campaigns for 2027 Elections

Bauchi State Governor, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, stated that his restraint and patience should not be misconstrued as weakness by the opposition. Speaking to journalists after returning from Abuja, he emphasized his commitment to ensuring peaceful electioneering for the upcoming 2027 general elections.

Mohammed, representing the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) for the Bauchi South Senatorial District seat, urged all political parties and their supporters to conduct their campaigns lawfully and without violence. He highlighted the need for politics to focus on issues and policies rather than personal attacks.

Despite facing vandalism of his campaign materials by opponents, he chose restraint, asserting that he would not misuse state authority against political rivals. He called on traditional rulers and security agencies to maintain neutrality during the election period and expressed optimism for a peaceful electoral process in Bauchi.
