Father Seeks Justice for Slain Corps Member Son

The father of a slain corps member, Jamiu, expressed his grief and shared that his son had always dreamed of joining the Nigerian Army. The tragic incident took place in Dakwa, Bwari Area Council, where the young man was killed in his room.

Jamiu's father recounted the harrowing moment, stating that his son was shot while he heard a small girl crying and witnessed the chaos. The family is now seeking justice and support, urging that his son’s wish to enlist in the army be fulfilled through his younger brother.

The Nigerian Army has acknowledged the incident and stated that an investigation is ongoing. Lieutenant Olawuyi Odunola, the acting assistant director of army public relations for the guard brigade, confirmed that updates will be provided once the investigation concludes.
