NAEDL Engages Stakeholders to Enhance Power Supply in Nasarawa

The Nigerian Electricity Distribution Limited (NAEDL) conducted a stakeholder engagement forum in Keffi, Nasarawa, aimed at strengthening ties with community leaders and addressing challenges in the power sector. Key speakers included Chijiok Okwuokeny, Chief Operating Officer of Abuja Electricity Distribution PLC (AEDC), and Bless Ogb, who emphasized the need for cooperation among utility companies and consumers to enhance electricity supply.

Veronica Abah, NAEDL's Managing Director, urged communities to protect electricity infrastructure, highlighting issues such as vandalism and energy theft that adversely affect service reliability and increase operational costs. Emmanuel Ogwuch, AEDC's Chief Regulatory Officer, discussed programs designed to incorporate customer concerns into decision-making processes and improve network upgrades.

The forum featured a question-and-answer session where customers raised concerns about billing, metering, and service interruptions, with company officials pledging to address these issues promptly. This engagement is seen as a positive step towards strengthening relationships between electricity distributors and the communities they serve.
