NAFDAC Recalls Substandard Drugs Over Health Risks

The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) has ordered the recall of substandard batches of Amoxicillin oral suspension, Annmox, and Jawamox, manufactured by Jawa International Limited in Lagos. The drugs failed quality tests, posing health risks, especially to children.

NAFDAC advises healthcare providers and pharmacies to stop dispensing the affected products and urges the public to report any suspected substandard medicines. Consumers are advised to check batch numbers carefully and return the products for proper disposal.
