NAFDAC Warns Nigerians of Fake Betaclox Antibiotic Threat

The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) issued a warning regarding the circulation of fake Betaclox antibiotics in Nigeria. The counterfeit products, containing fraudulent registration details, were identified in retail outlets in Zaria and Kaduna State.

Investigations revealed that the fake Betaclox packaging actually belonged to Mebendazole 500mg manufactured by Chi Ltd. NAFDAC urged the public to be cautious of substandard and falsified pharmaceutical products within the drug supply chain.
