Nasarawa Grabs Four Spots Ahead 9th National Youth Games

Team Nasarawa secured four key spots in various disciplines during the North Central Zonal Eliminations ahead of the 9th National Youth Games. The team, consisting of 154 members, dominated in Boys Football, Hockey, Girls Volleyball, and Girls Hockey.

Despite facing tough competition in Ilorin, Kwara State, Team Nasarawa emerged victorious, securing a place in the upcoming national event in Asaba, Delta State from August 26 to September 6, 2025. The team defeated host State Kwara in football, beat Plateau State, and played a draw with Team Niger to clinch the top spot.

In addition to their success in football, Team Nasarawa also excelled in Hockey and Girls Volleyball categories. The team is now intensifying their training in hopes of making a lasting impression at the main National Youth Games.
