Airport Command Plans National Police Day Celebrations

The Airport Command is set to celebrate the 2026 National Police Day with a series of activities aimed at honoring fallen officers and enhancing public trust. The theme for this year's celebration is "Community Partnership to Build Trust." Assistant Superintendent of Police Ogunbod disclosed that the week-long events will commence on Monday, March 30, with a sanitation exercise, followed by a walkathon on Tuesday, March 31, and a public sensitization campaign on Wednesday, April 1.

On Thursday, April 2, families of the fallen officers will be honored with a presentation of cheques in recognition of their sacrifices. The activities will culminate in a grand final ceremony on Tuesday, April 7, featuring a parade and tactical display to showcase police professionalism.

Ogunbod emphasized that this event provides an opportunity not only to honor the heroes who laid down their lives in service but also to inspire a new generation of police officers committed to community service.
