Nigerian Navy Recovers 105,000 Litres of Stolen Crude

The Nigerian Navy has intensified its efforts against crude oil theft and illegal bunkering under Operation Delta Sentinel, resulting in the recovery of about 105,000 litres of suspected stolen crude oil in Delta State. Navy Captain Abiodun Folorunsho, the Director of Naval Information, reported that the operations uncovered concealed storage facilities used by economic saboteurs.

The recoveries included approximately 60,000 litres and 45,000 litres of crude oil, found at different locations within the Oteghele axis of Delta State. Folorunsho stated that these recoveries highlight the ongoing challenge posed by crude oil theft syndicates and reaffirm the Navy's determination to dismantle their operations, protect critical oil and gas assets, and prevent economic losses.

The success of these operations further demonstrates the effectiveness of Operation Delta Sentinel in degrading the criminal networks involved in crude oil theft and illegal bunkering across the Niger Delta.
