NDC Condemns Bandit Attacks in Zamfara State

The Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) in Zamfara State condemned the recent bandit attacks in Talata Mafara and Bungudu Local Government Areas, which targeted both the community and security forces. In a statement issued on Sunday in Gusau, the state NDC publicity secretary, Alkassim Kayatawa, conveyed the party's outrage over the attacks, describing them as unacceptable.

The Zamfara State chairman, Alhaji Surajo Maikatako, extended condolences to the families affected by the violence. The statement expressed deep sorrow over the brutal murder of innocent farmers in Sauna and Ruwan Gora, Talata Mafara LGA, and highlighted that several others sustained severe injuries.

Additionally, the NDC reported a horrific incident in Bungudu LGA where terrorists abducted the current Local Government Council Chairman and murdered his security detail, including two policemen and two vigilante members. The NDC condemned these acts of terrorism and called on both the Federal Government and the Zamfara State Government to take immediate and decisive action to combat banditry.
