NDC Demands Gbajabiamila's Removal Over Corruption Claims

The Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) has called for the immediate removal of Femi Gbajabiamila, the Chief of Staff to President Bola Tinubu, amid allegations of corruption related to the Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council (PFIPC). The NDC argues that this action is necessary to facilitate an impartial investigation into claims of corrupt practices and the sale of public appointments.

Allegations include the PFIPC's receipt of N1.3 billion from the 2026 Appropriation Act, despite the agency's public denial of existence. The NDC's statement, attributed to Matthew Adeniyi Adeyemi, claims that the PFIPC has been involved in questionable financial activities, including securing budgetary allocations and opening accounts without proper authorization.

The party demands an independent investigation into these matters, emphasizing that the allegations indicate a pattern of institutionalized corruption within the current administration. The NDC also expressed concerns over the circumstances surrounding the death of Babatund Tanimola, linking it to the ongoing investigation.
