NDC Demands Gbajabiamila's Removal Over Scandal

The Nigeria Democrat Congress (NDC) has demanded the immediate removal of Femi Gbajabiamila, the Chief of Staff to President Bola Tinubu, due to allegations surrounding the Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council (PFIPC). The NDC claims that Gbajabiamila is linked to a scandal involving this allegedly non-existent agency, which purportedly secured budgetary allocations for the 2026 budget through multiple financial accounts, including those at the Central Bank of Nigeria.

The NDC expressed concerns over the transparency of government operations and questioned how the agency could access high-level financial structures without official approval. Allegations include that Gbajabiamila demanded 48% of the agency's takeoff grant, estimated at N27 billion.

The NDC also referenced claims made by Mathew Adeniyi Adeyemi, the alleged Director General of the PFIPC, regarding financial dealings involving senior government figures. They called for an independent investigation into these claims and the circumstances surrounding the mysterious death of Babatund Tanimola, who was reportedly involved in the matter.
