Obi: NDC Court Ruling Won't Hinder 2027 Election Plans

Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), addressed concerns following a recent high court ruling in Lokoja that posed a temporary setback regarding the legal status of the NDC. In a statement issued on Friday by his spokesperson, Idri Zekeri Jnr, Obi emphasized that the ruling would not derail the party's efforts to provide an alternative political platform ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The NDC's legal team has already reviewed the judgment and is prepared to take necessary legal steps, including filing an appeal if required. Obi urged supporters to remain calm and focused, asserting that the party's commitment to building a transparent and legitimate political alternative remains intact.
