NDC Postpones Kano Congress Due to New Member Influx

The Kano State chapter of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has announced the postponement of its planned state congress, which was intended to elect party executives. This decision was communicated in a statement signed by Adam Adam, the Director General of Social Media for the NDC in Kano State.

The postponement is attributed to a significant influx of prominent political figures joining the party, which has created a need for wider consultations and better preparations ahead of the congress. Adam, the state chairman, emphasized that the party requires additional time to properly accommodate the new entrants and ensure that the congress is conducted smoothly, transparently, and inclusively.

He noted that proceeding with the congress without adequate arrangements could negatively impact the inclusion of new members. The leadership remains committed to building a stronger structure within Kano and has urged party members to remain calm while awaiting further communication regarding the new date for the congress.
